In the heart of the wonderful city of Marsala, two steps from the sea and 10 minutes from the landing stage for Favignana and the beautifull Egadi Islands, step up Scalilla Palace, from the sixteeth century. Recently trasformed in a turistic place, it keeps it's period styling; it's located closed to the pedestrian area, with his local markets, trending clubs for the evening, shopping route and prestigius restorants, but in the same time guests have the access to a large public parking spot near Piazza Garibarldi.

The Palace have 5 spacious rooms, bright and well furnished, within 2 levels with 2 spectacular patios equipped with a solarium and a barbecue; Guests with the B&B treatment wuold have their mediterranean breakfast served, and for those who choose the appartment (entire floor), wuold have have access to the living room and the historic kitchen. All rooms have TVs and adjacent private bathroom, with a shower and a dryer; Renting cars and hiking services are available in the Palace's reception.

t's possible to reservate exclusive the whole Palace, formed of a large appartment with 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms on the first floor, a second appartment with 2 rooms and a bathroom on the second floor, and a receipt space on the ground floor, for a 14 people maximum. What guests like the most is the possibility to arrange (previuos reservation) a tasty aperitifs and/or gourmet dinners with private local excellent food and wine tasting.

Terms & Conditions

1. Stay and prices
Stay is confirmed exclusively for touristic purposes, according to the prices available in the present website.
It is possible to choose between the option ‘single room inclusive of breakfast’ and the option ‘apartment’ that does not include breakfast but provides a fully equipped kitchen inclusive of dishes, pots and fridge. The availability of extra household appliances is specified in the description of each accommodation. The prices refer to the tariff of each ‘room’ and each ‘apartment’ and discounts are offered for stays of at least one week. The minimum stay is two nights. Prices always cover water, gas and light consumption, bed and bath linen and the extra beds that are free for children (to request upon booking).
The following are not included: tourist tax, which has to be paid in loco according to the municipal regulations, expenses related to the use of infrastructures or under the label ‘extra’, transfers, car rentals, excursions and all other similar services (always in loco according to regulations).
2. Reservation
Reservations can be made in person, by telephone or by e-mail. Reservations can be made automatically through the official website: www.scalillapalace.com, which is equipped with electronic payment services. This is conditional upon previous confirmation of lodging availability and is considered valid only after reception of the advance payment that is equal to the cost of 2-overnight stay (if unpaid within 3 days of the confirmation of the lodging availability, the reservation will be cancelled). Full payment has to be made at least 21 days before the starting date of the stay. For the bookings made within 20 days prior to the date of the start of the stay, sum total will have to be paid at the moment of the reservation. Upon reception of full payment, you will receive the ‘good stay’ booklet, in which you will receive all useful information concerning key pick-up and how to reach the residence. We only accept bank transfers, cash and online payments through PayPal.
3. Number of guests
Access to the residence will be allowed only to those people whose names appear in the ‘good stay’ booklet. The number of guests (adults + children) cannot exceed that declared during the reservation and, in any way, cannot exceed the room availability specified on the website of Scalilla Palace. The number of guests does not include children under 2-years of age. The person in charge of the key can forbid the entrance to people in excess.
4. Terms of arrival – Security deposit
Check-in time is before h.13:00. It is responsibility of the guests to call the residence reception 2-3 days before the arrival date to agree upon the terms of room or apartment delivery and to confirm the arrival time. Once arrived, guests have to consign the ‘’residency permit’ and an ID document that will turn necessary for registration, as expected by current regulations. Failure to comply with these norms represents a violation of the penal code and authorises us to ask you to leave the B&B. All dates concerning our guests are treated in accordance with the current privacy policy.
Those who select the ‘apartment’ option are asked to pay a security deposit that will be given back at the end of the stay after control of the apartment conditions. Check-out is allowed until h. 11:00am.
5. Cleaning and external maintenance
For those who choose the ‘bed and breakfast’ option, it is expected daily cleaning of the rooms and change of bed and bath linen three times a week. For those who select the ‘apartment’ option, it is expected cleaning of the residence and change of bed and bath linen once a week.
Those who choose the ‘apartment’ option are expected to return the residence as clean and orderly as it was at their arrival. If the residence is not returned according to the above mentioned conditions, the owner or his spokesperson is authorised to withhold a share of the security deposit to a maximum of 50,00 euros for the supplementary cleaning expenses. The supervisor has free access to the property for any maintenance operations (ground floor, entrance, terrace and common areas). The guests of the ‘apartment’ option can ask for, upon payment in loco, the cleaning of their rooms during the week and for several times in the case of long stays.
6. Cancellation – Changes
In the case reservation is cancelled after the payment, no penalty will be applied to the client, provided that cancellation is made within the 21st day prior to the starting date of the stay (within the 35th day, in the case the starting date of stay is included in this period, the advance payment will be withheld as cancellation penalty). For cancellations to be valid, we always expect a written communication.
Later, you will have the right to a refund of the accommodation price net of the following penalties:
• 25% of the accommodation price if cancellation is communicated at least 15 days prior to the start of the stay;
• 50% of the accommodation price if cancellation is communicated at least 10 days prior to the start of the stay;
• 80% of the accommodation price if cancellation is communicated at least 3 days prior to the start of the stay;
• No refund after this limit or in the case of no-show.
The client who renounces to the stay can be substituted from another person upon written communication.
After 8 hours of the non-arrival and in case of no communication the residence will be made available to third party.
7. Complaints
The guests will have to verify at their arrival the state of the property, the inventory, the household appliances operation and make any possible complaints within 24 hours. The repair of any possible damage occurred during the stay is at the expense of the clients. For all complaints made after the end of the stay, the client will not have the right to any kind of compensation.
8. Fiscal legislation
As by law enacted, since they are not considered commercial activities, the B&Bs are not compelled to issue any fiscal document. To prove the payment made, we provide a non-fiscal receipt certifying the sum total and the data of your stay. After the key pick-up, we will introduce you to the bedroom, the bathroom and the common areas.
9. Authority in charge
Marsala Judicial Authority is the only authority in charge in case of any objections or contentious issues.
